Stratherrick Stratherrick is not a tidy administrative unit. It includes the parish of Boleskine, part of the parish of Dores, and an outlying portion of the old parish of Dunlichity, now joined with Daviot. Nor is it an obvious geographical area. Broadly, it embraces the catchments of the Fechlin and Farigaig Rivers, from the watershed of the high Monadhliaths to Loch Ness, from the ridge of Suidhe Chuimein above Lcoh Tarff to Loch Ruthven and Loch Ceo-glais in the north, but extending there to take in the old Fraser lands of Erchite. This was Fraser country, but also included the MacGillivray lands of Dunmglass, more closely associated with Strathnairn and Clan Chattan.
