Strathnairn Heritage Association Strathnairn is located between the world- renowned Loch Ness (of monster fame) to the west and the expansive wilds of the Monadhliath Mountains to the east. To the south is Dunmaglass, home of the mighty and ancient Clan MacGillivray. To the north is Daviot, which is only a short distance from Culloden Moor - site of the infamous and bloody battle of 1746.
