Wrong Tartan

ive been laid up very ill and have watched t v -as one does - incessantly. the film was shown; last of mohicans with daniel day lewis. i watched it half heartedly and sat upright at the mass exodus from the fort. there was a woman carrying an infant in the camel mactavish tartan rug. amazing as the tartan wasnt invented until 1910. so; my minds improving- just need the body to catch up. COME ON LETS GET THIS FORUM ROLLING AGAIN.

Last of the Mohicans.................a romantic film about the French and Indian war in the American colonies. Or, as you Brit's call it, the Seven Year War. One of many Indian and Colonist struggles. This is the first time that Scottish troops were organized after Culloden and allowed to wear the Tartan. John McTavish of Garthbeg was an officer under General Wolf with the Fraser Highlanders. He was mustered out during the Battle of Quebec. This was the old 78th Regiment.

Funny, Larry....back as president of Clan MacTavish, lists as one of his activities that he is a member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders. Reenactment, of course. My Grandfather would be pleased that his regiment was remembered, but rather disappointed at the lack of character of certain members. Did you know REALMACTAVISH, that he was reinstated as President of Clan MacTavish???? After the stunt he pulled???

ARE YOU REALLY SURPRISED CATHY? WE'RE TALKING INADEQUATES HERE. INADEQUATES THAT ARE UP EACH OTHERS REAR ENDS IN DECIET AND MISDEEDS. TAKE A LOOK AT ME AND CRAIG BOTH AROUND 6 FEET AND BUILT LIKE BRICK OUTHOUSES. NOT MATINEE IDOLS BUT ATTRACTIVE IN A MANLY WAY. STRONG IN CHARACTER AND WORTHY IN DEED. THEN WE HAVE THE WOMEN. IT DOES MAKE SENSE THAT LARRY THOMPSON RE-ENACTS THE 78th, THATS ALL THEY DO; THEY PLAY AT BEING SCOTS. PRETEND. I AGREE THOUGH THAT OUR ANCESTORS ARE TURNING IN THEIR REST AT THE PITIFUL WANNABES THAT ARE TRYING TO BE SCOTS.

Well, as my sister and I have ALWAYS agreed, we ARE.......beautiful! So it is obviously a MacTavish trait, just I have to be prettier, as I am just a wee bit older than her. And also much more shy! :D :D :D

When I saw that Larry had "resigned", I was hopeful that perhaps there was indeed integrity. But alas.

Have you heard anything lately about the Thamhaisaic Council????
