As nobody else has posted any photos so far I'll start you off with the names on the war memorial at the Lyne.

And some of the current residents of Gorthleck.

Right here in front of Gorthleck House and yes it is WW1. I may have the other faces of it but I'm not too sure. But if not I'll get them next time I'm up.

Hi Graeme---great clear pics and the natives look very friendly!
Just wondring if you know any history/stuff on Glen Masarine/Mazeran ???---tho I know its not strictly Stratherrick----I think a grt grt grt grt aunt was named after this place.

Well, I didn't know much about the place until half an hour ago. Here's the Old and New Statistical Accounts for the parish of Moy in which Mazeran is situate. (Look, I'm talking 18th century :D ).
There's a sporting lodge there as well and it seems very reasonable for a week!

Statistical Accounts. There are some interesting pieces here.
http://edina.ac.uk//stat-acc-scot/ and search for Moy.

It's not far away from Stratherrick but I don't think I've ever been there as looking at the map the road goes through Farr and I can't even remember a road there.

I'll keep looking though and see what I can find out.

CHEERS GRAEME----- thats a whole lot more than I had already-----tho the factor of the estate once sent me some gorgeous pics of the place in mid-winter and gave road directions via Tomatin!---Its on same latitude as Errogie but seems to be more Strathdearn country .
Its quite exciting finding a secret glen isnt it?----oh *****-!-----not so secret now eh? woops---
thanks for all your help anyways and the map links are fab.
