I AM CONSIDERING DONATING 2 ITEMS TO THE DHA.
1) THE DEATH CERTIFICATE OF DUGALD MACTAVISH OF KILCHRIST , THE SHERIFF SUBSTITUTE OF CAMPBELTOWN.
2) THE NAPKIN/SERVIETTE RING FROM DUNARDRY DATED 1800 WHICH BELONGED TO THE CHIEF AT THAT TIME ; SIMON. IT IS WORN AND DISCOLOURED BUT HAS AUTHENTICATION FROM JOHN MUIR OF LOCHGILHEAD(WHO HAS THE REMAINING SET.
MY RECENT AQUISITION OF THE GARTHBEG CANDLE SNUFFER I THINK WE SHOULD KEEP AS SEPERATE .

REAL MACTAVISH -

I know the DHA would appreciate your gifts. Perhaps a certified copy of the death certificate to preclude any MORE documents from the MacTavish family getting lost would be just as good. Certified would give it provenance and the original would remain safely in Scotland. The napking ring would, I'm sure, be a singular addition as I don't believe the DHA has any artifacts.

My, how far things have come since February. And how nice to see that out of Steven's insanity has come such good.

SORRY GANG HAD TROUBLE WITH SERVER....IF DHA TRIED TO CONTACT ME ....BEEN OFF LINE 2 WEEKS....HOPE THEY RECIEVED MATERIALS.

I saw the DHA thank you to you on their forum, REAL MACTAVISH. It was very nice and I can just imagine how they feel when something nice happens to them!

It was thoughtful of you and a nice thank you is always deserved.

hope your not suggesting i have a sweet side t s ..........shhhh keep it to yourself; i'll lose all my street cred!
this isa busy tim for me. in 25 days its remembrancesunday when all we old soldiers parade for thequeen ect,. i started shining my boots last week . i do 10 minutes everyday in 25 days they should be acceptable.the kilt and belt ect will be pristine too.im usually easily picked out on tv when they show the royals........im usually in vicinity.the red hackle gives meaway. its a big thing here. theresa huge drinking session too . thequeen mother always sent the black watch a crate of whisky but shes sadly gone now. we were her' blue eyed boys' keep smiling
