I just ordered two new books the document the Highland regiments that fought during the French and Indian war in the Colonies of North America. (The British refer to this war, as the Seven Years War). The 77th Foot(Montgomery's Highlander's), the 78th Foot, (Fraser Highlanders), and fhte famous Black Watch. Manymen from this area of Scotland men fought in the Fraser Highlanders - I figure to save their heads after the disaster at Culloden . Lots of history here, and I thought you might be interested.
