Oh dear, I'd forgotten all about it. So I'll just be saying the Selkirk Grace before I eat my dinner.

Some hae meat and canna eat,
and some wad eat that want it,
but we hae meat and we can eat,
and sae the Lord be thankit.

Or as RMacT would say -

Tha biadh aig cuid, 's gun aca ca\il,
acras aig cuid,'s gun aca biadh,
ach againne tha biadh is sla\int',
moladh mar sin a bhith don Triath.

I spent the day hunting haggis for the family dinner ,prepared some cock-a leekie and practised my highland dancing for a competition in the town hall-----
actually no ---I did nothing remotely exciting but forget my purse twice in the day and got thoroughly stressed christmas shopping!
However Im glad to report my kids did celebrate St Andrews day at school with traditional poems ,songs and stories----its making a slow revival here but still not as big and patriotic as Burns day.
