 1.  DOUGLAD² MCTAVISH  (JOHN¹) was born Abt. 1791 in Inverness, Inverness-shire , Scotland , and died 1877 in Aruluen, NSW, Australia .  He married JESSIE FRASER, daughter of WILLIAM FRASER and CHRISITANA MCPHERSON.  She was born 1810 in Stratherrick, Inverness-shire , Scotland , and died 1885 in Shoalhaven, NSW, Australia .

2.  WILLIAM DONALD³ MCTAVISH (DOUGLAD², JOHN¹) was born Abt. 1834 in Inverness, Inverness-shire , Scotland , and died in Elsmore, NSW, Australia .  He married JESSIE MACALISTER 1860 in Australia , daughter of JOHN MACALISTER.  She was born 1840 in Cow Pastures, NSW, Australia , and died in Elsmore, NSW, Australia .  

Notes for WILLIAM DONALD MCTAVISH:

William was a gold miner at Araluen and Majors Creek near Braidwood in NSW before going to Stanthorpe in Queensland about 1880, where he became a tin miner.

3.  ADELAIDE ISABELLA⁴ MCTAVISH (WILLIAM DONALD³, DOUGLAD², JOHN¹) was born 1880 in Stanthorpe, Old Australia, and died 1951 in Brisbane, Old Australia.  She married HENRY SAMUEL EDWARD DOWNES.   

Notes for HENRY SAMUEL EDWARD DOWNES:

Harry and Adelaide lived at Allora near Warwick in Queensland , Australia until after WWI, where Harry served in the 5th Light Horse.  They then moved to Brisbane , where Harry was a carrier and had 5 children.
